Lorraine Montana is a young trombonist located in the Baltimore/Washington DC Metro Area. While she was born in Morristown, New Jersey - her musical career began in suburban Columbus, Ohio. During her high school years at Dublin Coffman High School, she was selected to many honors ensembles including the Ohio State University Honors Bands and the Columbus Youth Jazz Bands. Lorraine is currently a music education major at the University of Maryland. She has played in almost any ensemble that is available to her at UMD including the University of Maryland Wind Ensemble and the University of Maryland Wind Orchestra. Her ensemble experience is vast including concert and jazz bands, orchestras, chamber groups, and pit orchestras. In February 2020, she was selected to perform with the CBDNA Eastern Intercollegiate Band. She currently studies with Aaron LaVere, principal trombone with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
